A mighty mage is attempting to control the world, but slamming a huge double-sided axe through his cranium should be enough to stop him. Now getting to him, that's another story…

A long time ago a land was inhabited by a race of merciless yet brave warriors who reckoned themselves as Gods for their strength and ferocity. However, the real Gods were quite displeased with these warrior's inflated egos. The quickest way to put an end to that thinking would have probably been the promise of gold, but the Gods took a different approach. They sent down a gigantic flame-breathing dragon to ravage the lands and destroy everything in sight. Not every God believed this was a righteous course of action, and one of these Gods, Aiha (coincidentally the goddess of kindness), decided to help humans destroy the foul beast that had invaded their once proud lands. She created a powerful weapon to be used by a true warrior. Her magic was strong enough to ensure a true warrior would use the sword regardless of whether she embedded it into stone or not, thus keeping the story line more original than otherwise.

Quick Peek: RPGs are tired of having run of the mill graphics. They're starting to "rebel," and Rebel Act's Blade is leading the revolution! And it has an awesome story, some really cool sounding character classes, weapons, and enemies too!

A powerful sword should only be used by a powerful warrior, and his name just happened to be "Blade." You might think, "Whoa! The guy from SiN?" But that would be a stupid thought, because even though this game is being developed after SiN, my talk of dragons and mages should have clued you into when this game takes place… and it was long before there were Police forces. As you might have guessed already, Blade used his newly forged sword to defeat the mighty dragon, and although he succeeded, the dragon only fled to sleep for a thousand years and heal, and Blade himself died soon after from wounds received during the battle. In Blade's tomb his sword may be found, but it is sealed within the tomb and locked by five magical keys hidden across the land. If a person is to find these keys and take Blade's sword for their own, they may gain control of the dragon and unleash it on the lands, or perhaps even use it for good --depending on who is to hold this sword.

Of course, it had to be an incredibly evil mage who would make the first real effort to steal this sword for his own vile purposes, and one of the magic keys is already in his possession. Now the race is on to keep the keys out of his grasp and let Blade's tomb and sword remain undisturbed, and there are four distinct races of beings banding together to purge this evil from their land.

Dal Gurak, unfortunately, is a man with a plan, and his invasion started before everyone realized what was happening. When the dwarves discovered Blade's tomb within their mines they sent their most powerful warrior to seek allies and acquire the help of the most powerful warrior from the other races: barbarians, knights, and amazons. After his uneventful journey, this warrior returned with the allies he sought only to find a traitorous dwarf had allowed the forces of evil to invade his land and murder his people; now was the time to destroy Dal Gurak and his minions once and for all.

It's up to you to assume the role of the hero by choosing one of those four races and combating Dal Gurak and his group of villainous creatures, but are you up to the task? Maybe, maybe not, but at least you will get to employ some really powerful weapons and fight creatures that resemble evil monkeys during your journey.

Evil mages are fun, but I'm more interested in gameplay... (next page)
