FO2 promises to be bigger and better than the first, so it should have you wishing for a nuclear holocaust. Well we can always count on India and Pakistan.

Exploring town will uncover some rumors of a ghost that haunts the south at midnight in the residential area of town. Your character encounters the ghost of Anna, and after some deciphering, the ghost craves a locket to rest in peace. Hey it's a strange world out there, and if mutant geckos attack people for fun, then sure as hell, ghosts can roam the landscape. So after questioning people and thugs about the locket, it is finally found in the hands Joey the Thug. After getting the locket by smooth talking and bartering, your character returns to where he saw Anna at midnight and returns the locket allowing her to rest. Northward is the mechanic's shop. Smitty, an old tinkerer is working on an old car in near perfect condition, and it is almost fixed.

He needs but one part. The hero would be eager to find it... if he knew what it looked like. Well, keep your eyes peeled, it's always in the last place you look. With no better place to start, you head out to the slave master's pit of villainy. It's a dirty job, but you gotta find the GECK. After talking to the slaver, he asks the hero to join his guild and help transport slaves and conduct slave runs on local villages. Slavers are paid by the number of slaves that survive a run. It's your choice... and it's a somewhat tempting offer... but our valiant hero refuses and learns that a Merchant from Klamath named Vic is being held until the Slaver's radio is fixed.

Time for a rescue. Sneaking into Vic's room is tough, but handing Vic the old radio from his inventory, our hero enables Vic to fix the slaver's radio, thus buying his freedom. But the slaver is tricky and demands a sizable sum of money for Vic's release. Vic is the key to Vault 13, and he must be released so he can guide our hero to his destiny. Where can your character get that kind of money? Will the slaver let Vic go? What does Vic really know? What lies ahead on the journey? It's all up to you, so choose wisely and hope you've made the right decisions along the way. After all, the world is already messed up... it can't get much worse... right? Explore the world after the bomb, and see how dark, filthy, and messed up things can get. A post nuclear holocaust was never this much fun before.
