Hmm, big words, but the preview must go on! Will I get to kill people all over the world? Or how about start my own Clan? All those questions answered, and more!

As we move on in our epic quest to get the latest and greatest info on Requiem, I bring you now to the all-so-sacred multiplayer. When I looked at the multiplayer in Requiem, it appeared to be the same default features that are shipping with just about everything else nowadays. You have your support for TCP/IP, as well as four skins, which allow you to play as either a male or female Chosen One, or a male or female Fallen One. One thing I did note, however, was that in addition to being supported on third party networks such as Mplayer, Requiem will also have in-house servers that let you play on them. At this point, the only known support for multiplayer Requiem will be Deathmatch straight out of the box. However, "but that doesn't rule out the possibility of adding Rocket Arena and CTF later. Of course, all of this could feasibly change, but this is what we plan for."

When asked what he thought the biggest achievement with Requiem they had going, Phil Co said, "The Story - both the background story and the gameplay story is unlike anything I've ever heard or seen. It's so good that you have to play through the game to know what I'm talking about." Likewise, when asked if he thought Requiem was going to impact the industry in any way, he responded "Like I said before, Requiem's got a story that people will be talking about as the all-time greatest. It should raise the stakes for what people will want in a game - the thrilling action of a shooter with the compelling story so that you are forced to, and want to, finish the game and find out what happens."

These are strong words, especially coming from a company that doesn't have a solid stand in the gaming community. However, Cyclone is known for Uprising, a truly kick-ass title that was a great sleeper hi, and may have even triggered the whole genre of hybrid RTS/Action games such as Battlezone. And with a great story, awesome graphics, and an engine to sell your soul for, Requiem: Wrath of the Fallen looks to be an instant classic the day it hits the shelves. However, will the game stand up to the other competition in the FPS genre focusing on Single-Player, namely Half-Life? They both promise a lot, but only time will tell.
