I'd still like to know whether or not there will be a 3D brothel in Summoner.
Summoner's graphics are simply beautiful -- and in more ways than one. Summoner will use a fully 3D engine and the game will be played from a third person perspective. You can bend and shape the camera to your will (dramatic way of saying you can easily change camera angles), so whether you have a flair for the cinematic or an inclination towards the simple… you can put the camera where you want. Except inside Rosalind's pants, that would be illegal.

When I said the game's graphics were beautiful in more ways than one, I wasn't referring to polygonal breasts (for once). In fact, I wasn't alluding to any sort of conventional beauty in any way. I'm talking about Summoner's setting. All of the game's creatures are created specifically for Summoner, so when you come across a beast for the first time you won't recognize it from traditional fantasy, and you'll have to figure how strong the creature is to defeat it. I'd always be wary of tiny, harmless looking creatures because you never know what power they may hide. And remember, bright colors are what nature uses to tell you something is dangerous. Well… then again, you never know what twisted concoctions Volition Inc.'s artists may create to bring the game alive, and color might mean nothing at all in Summoner's world.

The beasts won't be the only things in Summoner to create an otherworldly experience, Shekar tells us, because the environments will do the same. Instead of thinking, "Oh, this is a cavern… I can expect poisonous spiders somewhere nearby," you may think more along the lines of, "Where the hell am I? What are those strange crystal creatures over there?" And that's exactly what Volition Inc. wants you to feel, because they want Summoner to be unique, and for you to explore and experience a world unlike the normal game worlds you play all the time.

The 3D engine will allow for some stunning special effects, too. There will be over 30 spells in Summoner, each with some pretty swank special effects… but that's not all, you don't learn these spells by copying them into a spell book and memorizing them. Well, at least not like you would in an AD&D game. Instead, you read the language of the Gods to be granted such power. You can find the writings all over the world to get new spells, but learning these spells and reading the language takes its toll on even the experienced mage. If you attempt to learn a discipline before you are ready, it can drive you insane or harm you in other nasty ways. The master of the monks that study these spells is blind because simply reading the spells was enough to hollow out his eye sockets. Ew. He is strong enough to still have the ability to "see" without his eyes, however.
